Sorensen's life with Kennedy

May 16 - Ted Sorensen, the man JFK once called his "intellectual blood bank," recalls Camelot in his memoir Counselor: A Life at the Edge of History.

The Kennedy era ended November 22, 1963, when JFK was assassinated in Dallas. Sorensen says it was "better that we had his leadership - even for one brief shining moment, than not at all."
