Jul. 24 - So-called existing home sales fell to a 10-year low in June and the median price fell another 6.1 percent in a sign the housing market has yet to hit bottom.

  • The House of Representative's passed a housing rescue plan late-Wednesday that was a good first step to fixing the housing turmoil, analysts said a day after the vote passed.
  • Jobless claims jumped to levels not reached since late-March.
  • Ford took an $8.7 billion second quarter loss.
