England name unchanged team for second test
MANCHESTER (Reuters) - England named on Thursday an unchanged team for the second test against New Zealand starting at Old Trafford on Friday.
England captain Michael Vaughan told a news conference the selectors had considered playing fast bowler Chris Tremlett but had decided to stick with the XI who drew the first test at Lord's on Monday.
"We believe in consistency and the young lads deserve another crack," he said.
Tremlett was called up as replacement for Matthew Hoggard, who fractured a thumb playing for his county Yorkshire after he was omitted from the final XI at Lord's.
